MIMIC은 2025년 2학기 동안 정기 튜터링 활동을 운영하였다. 이번 학기에는 미분적분학2, 이산수학, 선형대수학 등 자연과학기반 교양 과목을 중심으로 튜터링이 정기적으로 진행되었으며, 학기 중 학업 지원이 꾸준히 이루어졌다.

MIMIC의 튜터링은 단순한 성적 향상에만 머무르지 않고, 수학과 선배들이 직접 학습을 돕는 과정 속에서 후배들이 전공 과목 간의 연결을 이해하고 학습의 기반을 다질 수 있도록 하는 데 의미를 두고 있다. 현재 배우는 내용이 이후 전공 과목과 어떻게 이어지는지를 함께 살펴보며, 보다 안정적으로 전공 학습을 이어 갈 수 있도록 지원하였다. 이와 함께 카카오톡 오픈채팅으로 자연과학기반 교양 과목 관련 질문방인 ‘MIMIC BSM 질문방’을 운영하여, 튜터링에 참여하지 않더라도 질문하고 도움을 받을 수 있는 창구를 마련하였다. 해당 질문방에는 선후배 총 22명이 참여하였고, 미분적분학, 이산수학, 선형대수학, 확률및통계 등과 관련한 질문과 답변이 활발히 이루어졌다. 또한 평소 동아리 소통방에서도 수학과 관련한 질문이 올라오면 선후배를 가리지 않고 답변이 이어지는 분위기가 형성되어 있어, 학기 중 상시적인 학습 지원이 가능했다.

또한 MIMIC 내에서 결성한 튜터링 팀은 성균튜터링 프로그램에도 참여하여 최우수 활동팀(1위), 우수 활동팀(2위), 우수 튜터상(2위) 등을 수상하였다. 이는 동아리 내에서 지속해 온 튜터링 활동이 대외적으로도 좋은 평가를 받았음을 보여 주는 성과이다.

이러한 정기 튜터링 활동은 겨울방학에도 이어질 예정이며, 선형대수, 현대대수학, 위상수학 등 수학과 전공 과목을 중심으로 운영할 계획이다.

During the 2025 fall semester, MIMIC operated its regular tutoring program. This semester, tutoring sessions were held on a regular basis for foundational science courses such as Calculus 2, Discrete Mathematics, and Linear Algebra, providing steady academic support throughout the term.

MIMIC’s tutoring is meaningful not simply because it helps improve grades, but because senior students in the Department of Mathematics support learning in a way that helps junior students understand the connections between major courses and build a solid academic foundation. By looking together at how current material leads into later coursework, the program aimed to help students continue their major studies more steadily. In addition, MIMIC operated a KakaoTalk open chat called the “MIMIC BSM Q&A Chat,” a question channel for foundational science courses, so that students could still ask questions and receive help even if they did not participate directly in tutoring. A total of 22 senior and junior students joined the chat, and questions and answers related to Calculus, Discrete Mathematics, Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics, and other subjects were actively exchanged. More broadly, the club’s regular communication channel also fostered a culture in which questions about mathematics were met with responses from both senior and junior members, making ongoing academic support possible throughout the semester.

Tutoring teams formed within MIMIC also took part in the Sungkyun Tutoring Program and received several recognitions, including Best Activity Team (1st place), Excellent Activity Team (2nd place), and Excellent Tutor Award (2nd place). These results show that the tutoring activities MIMIC has sustained within the club were also recognized positively beyond it.

This regular tutoring program is expected to continue during the winter break as well, with planned sessions centered on mathematics major courses such as Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra, and Topology.
