리 대수는 다양한 기하적인 상황에서 등장하며 그 자체로도 표현론의 중요한 대상입니다. 동시에 대수구조를 classification하는 것은 자연스러운 행동인데, 오늘은 semisimple lie algebra의 root system과 이를 이용한 fundamental consequence인 classification을 소개하려 합니다. 소개할 대상들은 훗날 더 일반화된 대수 구조들을 이해할 때 중요한 길목의 역할을 합니다.

Abstract

"Algebraic Structures Classified by Root Systems"

Lie algebras appear in a wide variety of geometric contexts and are themselves important objects in representation theory. At the same time, classifying algebraic structures is a natural pursuit. In this talk, we will introduce the root systems of semisimple Lie algebras and the fundamental consequence that follows from them—their classification. The concepts we discuss will also serve as an important stepping stone for understanding more general algebraic structures in the future.
