고등학교까지의 수학 문제를 풀어오며 답에 풀이 과정을 맞추는 노력을 하셨을 거라고 생각합니다. 하지만 문제의 정의가 제대로 이루어지지 않아 문제의 오류가 생길 때가 있습니다.

이번 세미나에서는 이런 예시들 중 하나를 소개해 드리면서 어떤 이유로 오류가 생겼고 오류를 해결해나가는 과정에서 수학이 어떻게 엄밀하게 변화하였는지에 대해 소개해 드리려 합니다. 이번 세미나를 통해 수학이 정교화되는 과정을 느껴보시기 바랍니다.

"A Probability Problem Can Have More Than One Answer?"

When solving mathematics problems through high school, you have probably been used to matching your reasoning to a single correct answer. However, when a problem is not defined precisely enough, the problem itself can become flawed.

In this seminar, we will look at one such example, discuss why the flaw occurs, and see how mathematics became more rigorous through the process of resolving it. Through this seminar, I hope you will get a sense of how mathematics becomes more refined.
