"세지 않고 세는 법"

경우의 수를 셀 때는 보통 가능한 배열을 하나씩 세려고 한다. 그런데 돌릴 수 있는 대상이 되면 문제는 달라진다. 다른 배열이라도 돌렸을 때 같은 배열로 본다면 이런 경우의 수는 어떻게 세어야 할까?

이번 세미나는 먼저 회전이 배열을 어떻게 바꾸는지 살펴보고, 회전해서 같아지는 배열들을 하나의 묶음으로 보는 관점을 소개한다. 이후 공식으로 대칭 때문에 서로 같아지는 경우의 수를 어떻게 세는지 다룰 것이다.

Abstract

"How to count without counting"

When counting the number of cases, we usually try to count each possible arrangement one by one. But the problem changes once the object can be rotated. If a different arrangement is regarded as the same once rotated, how should we count such cases?

This seminar will first look at how rotation changes an arrangement, and introduce the perspective of treating arrangements that become identical under rotation as a single group. We will then cover how to formally count the number of cases that become identical due to symmetry.
